This is going to be a growing list, so please bear with us while we develop this. 

We receive lots of questions about lockpicking and lockpickworld, order tracking and dispatch and shipping, so hopefully this answers a lot of them. If the answers seem too brief for you, let us know - we love receiving constructive criticism - but be gentle!

1. How to I learn to lockpick?

We recommend checking out any of our Beginner sets, or our latest page identifying the Best Lock Picks. This guides you through a large list of available picks anywhere, and lets you know what we think. Our answers are backed up by customer reviews too. Start with a set that comes with our illustrated beginners guide, clear training locks, a cool credit card with lockpicks and go from there. It's excellent brain training material to improve your smarts!

2. How long before my order arrives?

We cover this on our Payment and Shipping page, but essentially, domestic packages in the US take 4 - 7 days to arrive by FREE SHIPPING depending on which state you live in. Shipping is absolutely free above $35 - otherwise you'll pay a small shipping and handling fee on top of your order. Some of these packages are heavy! Expedited, tracked shipping is available for a 2 - 3 day delivery if you wish to upgrade to a faster, tracked UPS delivery service. Please understand that sometimes couriers are delayed. There's nothing we can do about this once it's with the couriers, especially during busy times like Black Friday, Christmas and other holidays.

3. Are payments to you secure?

Yes, absolutely. All payments are handled by our commercial payments provider which then goes straight to the bank - and everything is automatic so our staff cannot actually see any payment details at all. Paying online has advanced so far - we're really surprised ourselves at how secure everything is. 

4. How do I track my order?

All of our orders have some level of tracking, and we love oversharing your order status with you. At checkout, you'll get options to leave us your phone number, to which we can text updates. Additionally, if you've given us your email and created an account (highly recommended since you'll get access to so much more information), we will also update you via email when your packages leave our warehouse, on the day of delivery, and after its been dropped off. You'll be kept up to date every step of the way. This service comes at no extra charge to you.

In your account area on our website, you can also see details of what you've purchased, gain access to loyalty points, referral codes, discount codes and more. 

5. I want to pick X lock with lockpicks - how do I do that?

We have different categories of lockpicks and locksmith tools on the website - and usually we suggest that you Google and Youtube for advice on specific locks you are having problems with. 

6. I'm a general handyman and not a locksmith, is this useful?

Absolutely, yes. We serve the military, first responders, schools, estate agent staff, and many, many more. You cannot always ram, detonate or crowbar your way into everything. Learning to pick locks, or using a lock pick gun often allows you practical access without destruction. This saves you sooooo much more money. Anything a locksmith can you - you can learn to do too. Save time, save money.

7. I'm bored at home and want to pick up an unusual hobby.

8. What are your returns policies?

Return / Cancellation / Refund Policy

If you are unsatisfied with your product, you may return your purchase to LockPickWorld for exchange or refund within 15 days of purchase as long as they are unopened and received by us in perfect condition - ie not used. We will credit your credit/debit card within 15 days from the time we receive your return.

NOTE:

The lack of ability on an individuals part to use lock picking tools successfully does not establish an item as defective. Lock picks cannot be returned for this reason. If you've used the item it cannot be returned.

The ONLY returns of lock picks accepted by Lockpickworld are those those with manufacturers defects. Lock Picks are warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 15 days.

If you receive a defective product from us, please email hello@lockpickworld.com. Do not return defective products without prior authorization.  In most cases a new product will be sent to you, or we will swap your defective item for a new one.

Making a return is simple, but please contact us first.  Books, CDs, and DVDs are non returnable unless defective. You must notify us of your intention to return within 15 days of receipt.

Order cancellations are possible but not guaranteed.  If you request a cancellation and internally it is too late, please refuse the shipment and we will credit your card or issue a refund check when the items is returned to us.

NOTE:All returns require an OFFICIAL RMA otherwise it won't reach us. Please contact us at hello@lockpickworld.com to talk to a member of staff who can arrange this for you. No RMA means the parcel will be destroyed as there's no way of the fulfillment house knowing what company it belongs to and other important information.
