A competition-grade lock pick set, tuned for your first locks
This is the Multipick ELITE beginner lock pick set, curated by championship picker Christian Holler. It carries the same tools as Multipick's Champion set, with the ultra-slim competition gauges left out, the ones that snap or sit unused while you are still learning. What is left is a balanced, German-made kit of hooks, Bogota rakes, and tensioners that teaches real technique from day one.

One kit that teaches hooks, raking, and tension
A lock pick set is your way into pin tumbler locks, the standard cylinders on house doors, padlocks, and most practice locks. You apply light turning pressure with a tensioner, then use a pick to set each pin to the shear line one at a time until the plug turns. The trouble most beginners hit is cheap blades that flex, no proper tensioners, or a random pile of profiles with no logic to them. This set answers that with a deliberate spread: single-pin hooks for precision, Bogota rakes for fast raking, and a full run of tensioners so the turning tool fits the keyway and your hand.

Every tool in the set, by name

All packed in a genuine leather Multipick ELITE case, the same case used by the Champion set. That matters more than it sounds: you can add Multipick ELITE tools to it as your technique grows, so the kit becomes the set built for your own keyways and hand positions over time.

Start with a hook, find rhythm with a rake
Set a tensioner in the bottom of the keyway and give it the lightest steady turn. Slide an ELITE hook to the back of the lock and feel for the pin that binds first, then push it up gently until it sets. Work pin by pin and the plug starts to give. When you want speed, swap to a Bogota rake and scrub across the pins under the same light tension, letting them bounce to the shear line together.
The two Bogotas teach a different lesson from the hooks. Single-pin hook work builds precision and feel; raking builds rhythm and a sense of how a lock wants to open. Having both in one case means you can move between them and notice what each one tells you.
Slow hands, known lock, then harder cylinders
Results still come down to practice, the condition of the lock, and your technique. No set opens everything on the first try. What this one does is remove the cheap-tool excuses so the variable left is your skill. Only practise on locks you own or have clear permission to open, and check your local law.
Champion tools without the beginner pitfalls
Championship pedigree
Curated by Christian Holler, a multiple German Lockpicking Championship winner, as a bridge between a competition set and a starter set.
Made in Germany
Produced in house by Multipick from spring steel, with the blade quality and finish the ELITE line is known for.
Beginner-smart selection
It leaves out the ultra-slim competition gauges that snap or gather dust early on, so every tool here earns its place.
Built to grow
The Champion-grade leather case takes more ELITE tools later, so your first kit becomes a kit you keep.

Practice Locks Set
Three clear progressive cylinders, easy to hard. A known lock to watch turns this set into a proper lesson plan.
Beginners Visual Guide
Builds the mental picture of pins, shear line, and tension before you put a hook in a lock, so the feedback makes sense sooner.
Multipick ELITE Super-Pick 37
The natural next ELITE step when you want a wider rake selection. Its tools share the same ELITE case system.
Quick answers from the LockPickWorld bench
Is this really suitable for a beginner?
Yes. It is built from Champion-grade tools but the fragile competition-thin picks are left out, so you get serious quality without the parts that frustrate new pickers. Start on a practice lock and you will learn fast.
What is the difference between the hooks and the Bogotas?
The four hooks are for single-pin picking, setting one pin at a time for precision and feel. The two Bogota rakes are for raking, scrubbing across the pins to open a lock by rhythm. Having both teaches both skills.
Does it come with a practice lock?
The set is the picks, tensioners, and leather case. For something to learn on, pair it with the linked progressive Practice Locks Set so you can see the pins set as you work.
Can I add more tools to the case later?
Yes. It uses the same leather case as the Multipick Champion set, so you can supplement it with more ELITE picks and tensioners as your technique develops and build the set that suits you.
Pick up where the championship benches start
Six ELITE picks, eight tensioners, and a leather case built to grow with you, all Made in Germany. Take it slow on a known lock, keep your tension light and steady, and let the feedback teach you.
