Bite Into the Plug, Not Out of It
A bell-type plug puller only works if its screw gets a firm, lasting grip in the keyway. These are Lokko self-tapping extraction screws: the bite-and-pull screws you thread into a lock cylinder so the puller can draw the plug straight out. Fifteen per pack in three colour-coded sizes, with a low-friction coating that lets them go in by hand. The next generation of pull-screws, built for plug-pullers instead of borrowed from the hardware drawer.
The screw is the part that actually grabs the lock
A bell plug puller is the dent-puller of locksmithing. You anchor the bell over the face of the lock, thread a screw into the keyway or the plug face, then wind the puller down so it pulls the plug forward against the housing. Standard wood or machine screws strip, slip, or snap under that load. They were never made for it.
Lokko pull screws are. The self-tapping point cuts its own thread as it goes, the aggressive thread geometry holds its grip while you crank, and the high tensile strength means the screw survives the pull instead of shearing inside the cylinder. That is the whole job: a screw that bites and stays bitten, so the puller can do its work on bypass and forced-entry openings, lock removals, and disassembly jobs where the key is gone.
Self-tapping
The point cuts its own thread, so no pre-drilling is needed. A pilot hole can make it easier, but it isn't required.
Low-friction coating
DeltaSeal® anti-friction coating means you can usually drive these in by hand. A little lubricant helps the thread bite cleanly.
Built to take the load
High tensile strength and a strong breaking load, with optimized thread geometry tuned for maximum retention while the puller pulls.
Four steps from keyway to open plug
Pick the size
Match the screw to the keyway by colour. Start in the middle and step up if the bite feels loose.
Thread it in
Drive the self-tapping screw into the plug or keyway with a TORX20 bit. A drop of lube smooths the cut.
Set the bell
Seat the plug puller's bell over the lock face and engage the screw head with the puller jaw.
Wind and pull
Tighten the puller down. The thread holds while the plug draws forward and clears the housing.
Colour-coded so you grab the right one fast
Five of each size in every pack, fifteen screws total. The coloured thread band is your size key, so on the bench or on a callout you reach straight for the right gauge instead of squinting at threads.
Small, sharp, and made to grip
These are compact screws with a flat countersunk head and a fast-cutting self-tapping point. The SIT®20 drive is fully downward compatible with a standard TORX20 bit, so you drive them with a tool you almost certainly already own.
The black finish carries an anti-corrosion coating, so a pack stays bench-ready in a kit roll or pouch rather than rusting between jobs. Made in Germany, with the kind of thread quality that holds its bite the first time.
Screws need a puller, a puller needs screws
If you don't have the tool yet, the Lokko Lock Plug Puller Complete Set gives you the bell, the spanner, the plate, and a starter run of screws in one case. Already running a Multipick rig? The Multipick Bell-Type Professional Plug Puller Set is the pro-grade puller these threads were designed alongside. Either way, this pack is the consumable that keeps it working, since pull-screws get used up the more openings you do.

Questions buyers usually ask
What exactly is a plug puller screw?
It's the self-tapping screw you thread into a lock plug or keyway so a bell-type plug puller has something to grip. Wind the puller down and it draws the plug forward and out. This pack is that consumable, the part that bites the lock.
Do I need a plug puller as well?
Yes, these screws work as a set with a bell plug puller. If you don't have one, start with the Lokko Lock Plug Puller Complete Set and keep this pack on hand as refills.
How many screws come in a pack, and what sizes?
Fifteen total: five red 5.5 mm, five blue 4.8 mm, and five yellow 4.2 mm. The colour band tells you the diameter at a glance.
Do I have to pre-drill?
No. The point is self-tapping and cuts its own thread, so no pre-drilling is needed. A pilot hole can make it easier on harder material if you want one.
What driver do I use?
An SIT®20 bit, which is fully downward compatible with a standard TORX20. The low-friction coating means you can often start them by hand and a little lubricant helps the thread bite.
Why not just use normal screws?
Ordinary screws strip and shear under the force a plug puller applies. These use optimized thread geometry and high tensile steel so they hold their grip and survive the pull. That's the difference between one clean extraction and a screw stuck in the cylinder.
Bring your plug puller into the 21st century
Self-tapping, anti-friction, and built around a thread designed for the pull. Keep fifteen Lokko extraction screws in the kit and your bell puller is ready for the next plug that needs to come out.
