Description
The Multipick KRONOS electric lock pick gun, built to open pin tumbler locks fast
The KRONOS is an electric pick gun, an EPG. Press the trigger and the needle vibrates rapidly inside the keyway, snapping the pins up off the shear line while you hold light turning tension. When the timing is right the plug rotates and the lock opens. It is one of the quickest ways to teach a beginner what kinetic picking feels like, and it earns its place on a working locksmith's bench.

Kinetic picking, powered by a motor instead of your thumb
A pin tumbler lock holds its plug shut with a row of spring-loaded pin stacks sitting across the shear line. Pick it by hand and you lift each pin to that line one at a time. An electric pick gun takes a different route. Its needle vibrates against the bottom pins, the kinetic energy bounces the top pins up for a split second, and during that gap a touch of turning tension lets the plug rotate before they drop back. Get the tension right and several pins clear together.
Manual snap guns ask you to cock and fire by hand, one strike at a time. The KRONOS runs the strikes for you at a steady, almost silent rhythm, so you can focus on the one thing that decides the open: how much tension your other hand is holding.

Needle in, light tension, pull the trigger, listen
Slide the needle into the bottom of the keyway and rest a tension wrench at the base of the plug. Apply the lightest turning pressure you can hold steady, then run the gun. Adjust the tension by tiny amounts while the needle works. The lock will tell you when you are close: the plug starts to creep, then gives.
Tension is everything. Too much and the pins jam against the plug and never jump. Too little and they fall straight back. The skill is finding the narrow window in between, and the KRONOS lets you hunt for it without tiring your striking hand.
Start on a known lock, then chase harder ones
Use it only on locks you own or have clear permission to open, and check your local law. Results depend on the lock, its condition, your needle, and your tension. There are no guaranteed opens, and security pins and tight keyways will always demand more practice.
An EPG that rewards control, not force
Motor-driven strikes
Steady, repeatable needle action means your only variable is tension, which is exactly the skill you want to build.
Quiet to run
Smooth and almost silent in use, so you can hear the lock starting to give instead of fighting the tool's own noise.
Built for the bench
A Multipick tool made for repeat use by people who open locks regularly, from locksport hobbyists to working locksmiths.
Configure your kit
Add spare needle sets, a hard carry case, or a backup battery so the gun is ready when you reach for it.
Eight ways to order the KRONOS
The gun itself is the same in every option. The choices add the extras that keep an EPG working: spare needles for when one wears, a hard case to carry it, and a backup battery so a flat cell never ends a session. Build the bundle that matches how you plan to use it.

Set yourself up to get clean opens
Practice Locks Set
Three clear progressive locks, easy to hard. Watch the pins react to the needle and learn the tension window before you trust a closed lock.
Pro Pick Gun Needles
A ten-pack of 0.019 inch Dangerfield needles. Needles wear and bend with use, so a spare set keeps the gun striking cleanly.
Hard Carry Case
The Dangerfield hard case sized for the Kronos and Machina EPGs. Protects the gun and keeps the small parts together between sessions.
Quick answers from the LockPickWorld bench
What kind of locks does it open?
The KRONOS is built for pin tumbler cylinders, the most common type on doors and padlocks. It is not made for wafer, dimple, or disc detainer locks, which need their own dedicated tools.
Is this a snap gun?
No, it is an electric pick gun. A manual snap gun makes you cock and fire each strike by hand. The KRONOS runs the strikes with a motor so you can concentrate on tension.
Can a beginner use it?
Yes. An EPG is one of the fastest ways to feel kinetic picking. Start on a practice lock with very light tension, and let the gun do the striking while you learn the feel.
What should I add to it?
A backup battery for long sessions, spare needles for the day one wears, and a hard case to carry it safely. You can pick those in the kit options or add the companion tools above.
Add the KRONOS and learn picking the kinetic way
Choose the kit that fits your bench, set the needle, hold a whisper of tension, and let the gun teach you the moment a lock gives. Practise patiently and the opens will come.
