Southord 7&8 Pin Tubular Lock Pick Set

How to Pick Tubular Locks With Ease

Arm yourself with this 7 & 8 pin SouthOrd Tubular pick set and make Tubular lock problems a thing of the past. A delight to use, these picks are as quick as a key when opening locks. Do the job professionally with picks that know how. These two exquisitely designed and magical tools in one money saving set.

Comes with a Decoder key so you can have a new key cut once picked.

Tubular locks are a high security lock designed to make picking difficult. The pins are set in a circle with the key being a tube-like item with the cuts around the outside.

The pick is a tube with several blades around the outside, each corresponding to a pin in the lock. When inserted into the lock, the pins cause a resistance, causing the blades to set at different levels. When fully inserted into the lock, the different levels of the blades will look exactly like the correct key - it's like a skeleton key for tubular locks.

These premium SouthOrd tubular picks set the standard for tools that make picking these locks easy and quick. They are almost as simple to use as a key!

  • Press pick on a flat surface to ensure the 'blades' are all level
  • Insert pick into the lock
  • Gently push while lightly turning left and right
  • The lock opens!

In nearly 20 years of lock picking I have never seen a more effective tool. Elegant, crafty and simple to use. Doesn't life feel great when things work so well. Quite simply the ultimate answer to picking tubular locks.

Average time to open a lock with a SouthOrd Tubular pick - 4 seconds

  • inner diameter of .316/318 inches (8.02 - 8.07mm)
  • outer diameter of .370 inches (9.39mm)

7, 8, and 10 pin tubular locks all have the same size keyway - just a different amount of pins. However, due to the different spacing of the pins, you require a different pick for each pin quantity.

This pick makes opening these locks as simple as using the key!

IMPROVED!

The adjustable tubular manipulation pick - TPXA-7 includes a solid, removable/replaceable guide pin. Though a guide pin is unnecessary for picking tubular locks, it assists picking by lining up the pick in the lock effectively. The new solid guide pin can be removed by the user for use in tubular locks that do not have the corresponding notch cut in the core, where normally a guide pin would fit. And, the new solid guide pin can be replaced by the user, should replacing the pin become necessary (replacement parts sold HERE).

(NOTE: This video does NOT show the IMPROVED version with the removable centre post)
